Flusso on a phone: the Overview says you can spend 1,377 € today, with how it is worked out below.

Day 1Lisbon

  1. Accounts13,288 €
  2. You can spend today1,377 €

Follow Alex for a month.

An invented digital nomad with a small SaaS, Upwork clients and affiliate links, living between Lisbon and Chiang Mai, paying with Revolut and Wise. Everything below is the real app with Alex’s example data.

  • Solid: counts in full
  • Half dashed: counts half
  • Dashed: uncertain
  • Hollow: one-off

How much can I spend today?

Before coffee, one number: what Alex can spend today without dropping below zero at any point in the next twelve months, counting only the income that is certain.

Next to it, the whole month as a map of lines. Subscribers, Upwork and affiliates run into the accounts, and one line leaves for each kind of spending. A solid line is money you can count on; half-dashed counts half.

The Overview on a laptop: “You can spend 1,377 €” with how it is worked out and the next arrivals, then October as a map of lines: income on the left, the accounts in the middle and five spending lines on the right.

Does passive income cover my life?

Some income keeps coming while you sleep. Flusso keeps it apart from the work you bill, and tells you how much of your spending it already covers: for Alex, 85%.

Passive sources are always mint and teal; work you do is sky and blue. You can read where the money comes from before reading the name.

Business on a phone: passive income 2,110 € a month covers 85% of expenses; Upwork 1,688 € a month.

Day 9Upwork pays in dollars

  1. Accounts14,777 €
  2. Upworkcounts in full+844 €

When does the platform money arrive?

Upwork pays when it pays, in dollars, to Wise. Flusso recognises the payout among the transactions, converts it, and forecasts the coming months from the last three.

Know a big project is coming? Write what you expect month by month; empty months stay automatic.

Upwork forecast on a phone: twelve months with expected amounts, the current month showing what is still to come.

Day 12Chiang Mai

Where did it all go, in three currencies?

Grab rides and khao soi in baht, software in dollars, rent in euros: the month day by day, income above the line and spending below, in the colour of its item.

A merchant without a category? Sort it once, by tapping or dragging it into the right basin. Flusso remembers for every future transaction, abroad too.

Transactions for September: a bar for each day, income above and spending below, then the list.
Sort mode: Amazon, three transactions, with the suggested items to assign them to.

  3. Avios, expiring in November≈ 462 €

Use the miles before they vanish.

38,500 Avios, about 462 € in flights, expiring in November. Points and miles sit next to your money with what they are worth and when they lapse, so the reminder comes in time to book.

Points and miles on a phone: Avios 38,500 miles about 462 €, expiring in November; RevPoints, Marriott Bonvoy, card cashback.

Day 22Asking Claude

  1. Accounts14,306 €

Can I afford Bali in December?

Flusso talks to Claude and ChatGPT through a connector. The assistant reads the same numbers you see, and treats what banks and clients wrote as data, never as instructions. Before changing anything it asks.

Example conversation, invented data

Can I afford two weeks in Bali in December, about 1,800 €?

Flusso · overview, cash flow

December is your tightest month: the 2,600 € tax advance is due and the accounts bottom out at 14,033 €.

Today you can spend 1,377 € without going below your emergency fund, so 1,800 € in December would dip into it by about 420 €, unless Upwork pays the usual 1,690 €.

Shall I add Bali as a one-off expense in December?

Yes, add it

Day 28Tax advance ahead

  1. Accounts14,637 €
  2. Tax advanceDecember, one-off−2,600 €

How much do I put aside?

December carries a 2,600 € tax advance. The Cash Flow shows it month by month, so the dip is visible in October, not discovered in December. Flusso can also keep your tax share of business income out of what you can spend.

Cash Flow on a phone: October +355 €, November +1,253 €, December −1,347 € because of the tax advance.

Day 31Closing the month

  1. Accounts14,577 €
  2. Month’s net+1,219 €

Is the safety net there?

Six months of expenses set aside, a visa and the move to Lisbon on the way. Each goal is a line under construction: the solid stretch is what you have set aside, the dashed track runs to the date, and Flusso says whether you are on pace or behind.

Goals on a phone: emergency fund 11,457 € reached at plan pace; visa and move to Lisbon 4,000 €, 1,200 € set aside, behind.
